When you're making money, when everybody you know is making money, when you have ever ounce of power you ever could have dreamed of, when everyone you know has every ounce of power they ever could have dreamed of... it's all strawberries. Every single piece of crap you have to swallow, every single time you count people in this country as completely fucking idiotic knuckedraggers who wouldn't know how to put their shoes on if you didn't broadcast it live on Fox News.... It's all part of the game.
But the second, the SECOND you have something personal at stake, and the second you personally stand to lose something based off that four foot tall file of bullshit that you call your morality... that's when you spend about two minutes before you figure out you're walking out and never looking back.

Bush: Proven, Unmitigated Draft Dodger who did everything in his and his family's power to avoid serving in Vietnam. Nobody with one ounce of sanity in their pea brains would claim for once second otherwise.
Yet, he can sit there and say 'bring em on' from the comfort of the oval office while the people who are actually going to be fighting the people who 'bring it on' can't get proper armour, get sent back into combat when the contract they signed states they're supposed to be home safe with their families (because the military can't sign up enough people taking a page from their political heros and supporting the war and being cowards simultaneously.), and on and on and on and on and on.......
Cheney: Had a baby nine months and a few weeks after the vietnam draft board announced parents are heavily weighed against during the process of drafting for service.
What else do you really need to say? Also had "other priorities". etc etc.
And why even spend any more time going down the list?
They're all cowards that would walk away and wouldn't help their own children getting beaten up in front of them.
